    • Injective and Sonic an AI agents hub with monetization for developers.
    • Sonic’s HyperGrid infrastructure, Injective WebAssembly (WASM) and the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC) will power this innovative solution.

Injective and Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) game platform Sonic have announced a groundbreaking collaboration that will see them unveil the first cross-chain artificial intelligence (AI) agent platform.

In their announcement, the two crypto platforms said the new AI agent hub will leverage Sonic’s HyperGrid technology to integrate Solana and Injective ecosystems.

The Smart Agent Hub will also leverage the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC), an open-source protocol enabling blockchain interoperability.

According to Injective Labs, the AI agent hub will offer developers the tools to create, deploy and monetize AI agents across the decentralized ecosystem. Fractional ownership and rev share are part of the major benefits this agent tokenization initiative aims to bring to the marketplace.

    Expanding AI agents reach

Other than Sonic’s HyperGrid infrastructure and the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol, the AI agent hub will tap into the Injective WebAssembly (WASM), cross-chain asset interoperability and SVM explorer.

“The collaboration aims to enhance the reach and awareness of AI agents through various distribution channels and platforms. Notably, applications like Sonic X, a TikTok-style app developed by Sonic, will play a crucial role in supporting this initiative for users and developers alike,” Injective Labs wrote in a blog post.

Developers also eye on-chain agent capabilities for the hub, with training and monetization availab;e across web3 games, decentralised finance applications, and real world assets.

The partnership with Sonic comes after Injective unveiled a toolkit that allows users to create their own AI agents in November. It also happens as the AI agents sector attracts greater attention. In recent months, the likes of Terminal of Truths, Zerebro and ai16z have been on a roll.

Injective Labs plans a phased rollout of the Smart Agent Hub, with the initial testnet scheduled for Q1 2025.
