Key Takeaways
- Solana ETFs topped XRP with $1.91B in assets after eight straight inflow days.
- SOL funds now represent 2.74% of solana’s market cap, signaling deeper institutional penetration.
- The potential next milestone concerns whether solana ETFs can overtake XRP’s $1.79B in cumulative inflows.
$254M in 8 Days Sees Solana ETFs Top XRP ETFs
Solana is quietly winning one of the most closely watched races in crypto ETFs.
Solana exchange-traded funds (ETFs) first surpassed XRP products in total net assets on Sept. 17, ending the day with $1.42 billion compared with $1.39 billion for XRP ETFs, per data from Sosovalue.
Since then, solana funds have attracted $253.98 million across eight consecutive inflow days. Paired with an upward price swing across most of the crypto market in recent weeks, that has lifted total net assets on SOL ETFs to $1.91 billion as of Oct. 1. XRP ETFs brought in $83.63 million over the same period, taking their assets to $1.69 billion.
The divergence suggests investors are increasingly favoring solana exposure even though XRP remains the larger crypto asset by market capitalization.
SOL Price Outpaces XRP During ETF Surge
The fund flows have coincided with a stronger move in SOL itself.
Solana’s price climbed from about $97 to $122, a gain of roughly 25.8% over the period. XRP’s price rose from $1.29 to $1.53, an increase of about 18.6%. That does not prove that ETF demand caused the price moves, but it strengthens the picture of broader momentum around solana.
Over the past 30 days, solana ETFs attracted $255.51 million worth of investment, more than twice the $111.09 million recorded by XRP products.
Solana ETF Penetration Is Already Much Deeper
The more revealing comparison may be ETF assets relative to each token’s size.
As of Oct. 2, XRP carried a market capitalization of roughly $96.94 billion, compared with $71.77 billion for solana. Yet solana ETF assets represent about 2.74% of SOL’s market cap, versus just 1.79% for XRP.
That makes solana’s institutional penetration meaningfully deeper despite the token’s smaller overall valuation. Solana is also closing in on XRP ETFs in cumulative inflows. SOL ETFs have now attracted about $1.61 billion, compared with $1.79 billion for XRP products.

Bitwise Dominates Both ETF Markets
Bitwise is the clear leader on both sides.
Its BSOL fund holds about $1.22 billion in net assets, making it the largest solana ETF by a wide margin. Bitwise’s XRP product is also the largest in its category, with approximately $621.9 million in net assets.
For investors, the bigger story is not simply that solana ETFs have edged ahead of XRP. It is the speed of the shift.
Solana has moved from trailing XRP to leading in assets, dominating recent inflows and commanding a much larger share of its underlying token’s market value.
If the gap in flows persists, then the cumulative inflow race could be next.
