    What is Paymium Exchange?

If you have been in the cryptocurrency market in Europe, the chances are high that you are familiar with Paymium, one of the first cryptocurrency platforms created in 2011.

Located in Paris, this French trading platform specialises in allowing you to get Bitcoin and sell it. Pierre Noizat is the co-founder and CEO at Paymium.

Paymium grants users the ability to spend EUR to purchase BTC and spend BTC to purchase EUR, but it should be noted that Paymium cannot accept US-based traders due to regulatory restrictions. Paymium also has an excellent mobile application and claims that the service complies with European Regulations.

This is the go-to platform for European crypto-traders that want a single trading pair such as EUR to BTC or the other way around.

    Standout Paymium Exchange Features

Single Trading Pair – Paymium keeps it simple by offering support for just the EUR to BTC, and BTC to EUR trading pair. This makes it easier for Paymium to stay compliant with the regulatory requirements of the EU.

Capped withdrawal fees – Deposits and withdrawals are capped at a 0.99 EUR fee. Paymium also covers the Bitcoin network fee for deposits and withdrawals — an unusual but welcome feature that has arguably ensured the platform’s longevity.

Keep in mind that when it comes to buying Bitcoin, there is a commission fee of 0.5% for taker orders. However, Paymium is the only exchange platform that offers a -0.1% negative fee on all maker orders. Basically it means that not only you no longer pay fees, but you also receive a 0.1% cashback directly on your Paymium account for each of eligible trades.  Deposits by SEPA bank transfer or Bitcoin directly are free, if a credit card is used, the site will end up taking 8%.

High Level of Security – Another interesting and impressive aspect is the fact that almost all of the BTC on the platform is stored offline in a cold storage vault. Fiat currencies, on the other hand, are stored with Paymium’s German banking partner, Weg Bank..

Advanced Trading Section – If you want a detailed overview of Bitcoin’s movement in terms of price and other similar data, you have it at Paymium.

Quick KYC Procedure – Although some KYC Procedure can be annoying, Paymium’s is relatively quick and easy. For users living in Europe with a passport, verification is simple so users can start trading.

Fund Transfers by Email – You can send or receive BTC by email with Paymium, which is one of the unique aspects of the exchange.

    User interface for Paymium Exchange

Discussing the user interface for Paymium, you are never greeted by more than four colours at any given time, including blue, aqua blue, white and black. The overall design is straightforward, and it shows you exactly what you need to see.

For example, you have the Tradeboard as the main menu, where you can see your balances in terms of EUR and BTC, your open orders and your closed orders.

Additionally, you have the Trades table where you can see the exchange rate and volume of BTC.

Overall, the user experience is convenient and should give you all of the information that you require, when you require it.

    Community Engagement

Paymium has an active community, which is no surprise when considering the age of the exchange having been trading since 2011.

To start with, as we look at Twitter, we can see that they post daily. They have an active follower count of 14,300, which is quite impressive in comparison to some other platforms

    Paymium: In summary

If you are the kind of trader that does not need to convert or invest in anything other than Bitcoin, this platform has all of the necessary features that can make this experience a breeze for you. It has low fees, a well-established reputation, and what it does, it does well.

As a well-established exchange, Paymium is tried and tested for delivering reliable and safe Bitcoin transactions. Additionally, the platform covers the cost of Bitcoin network fees incurred by transactions, which can save users a lot of their capital — particularly for users requiring a high-frequency of transactions.

The community surrounding Paymium is also fairly active, so you will always have someone to talk to for support.
